WHY SHOULD I USE DISCONNECTED TO BOOK MY VACATION?

Disconnected handles all of the small details of planning a trip and provides a personal concierge service during travel. Our founder has traveled all over the world and has hand-picked vendors ready for your use. Her experience in planning trips for large groups and managing people & vendors has helped her expand her abilities in the travel industry. 



CAN I PURCHASE A GUIDE BUT NOT HAVE DISCONNECTED BOOK MY TRIP?

Yes, we welcome you to purchase a guide and move forward with booking independently. All information provided in the guides should assist you with making the best travel decisions.


WILL IT COST TO GET CONSULTATION SERVICES?

Yes, there is a $190 per person fee for these concierge services as the time and effort spent on ensuring a stress-free travel experience, booking, coordinating vendors, and real-time customer service is provided. 

WHERE CAN I FIND MY ITINERARY ONCE MY TRIP IS BOOKED?

Your itinerary will be provided to you via email once all details and reservations have been confirmed. Guests will receive a draft itinerary to ask for any updates or schedule changes prior to travel. A finalized itinerary will be provided to you no later than 72 hours before the scheduled departure. Individuals with customer accounts will be directly uploaded for your viewing. 

DO YOU RECOMMEND TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Travel insurance is highly recommended in order to protect your upcoming trip. As some cancellations are unforeseeable (medical illnesses, bad weather conditions, etc) and many companies have non-refundable policies, obtaining travel insurance protects you from losing this financial investment. 

 

HOW DO I CANCEL A TRIP WITH DISCONNECTED AND WHAT’S THE REFUND POLICY?

Please reach out to Disconnected as soon as possible. We will work to either identify a rescheduled date or possible refund options. You will be notified at the beginning of the cancellation policies set by each vendor. Disconnected will do its best to advocate for you to obtain refunds and credits, however, this is all at the discretion of the vendor (airline, hotel, tour operator, cruise line, etc.)  In the event you have purchased travel insurance, we recommend you reach out to the agency directly to initiate a refund. Any Disconnected Fees associated with bookings are non-refundable, however, can be used to initiate another booking at a later time. 

HOW DO I KNOW DISCONNECTED IS A TRUSTED TRAVEL VENDOR AND HOW DO THEY FIND THE BEST RATES?

Disconnected works tirelessly to identify the best rates within your specified budget. Our goal is to find you accommodations and activities that help make your vacation dreams a reality. All of the recommended vendors have been used by our owners and customers for years. We pride ourselves on building amazing relationships with our vendors in order to create a community of travel options for you.  


DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS

Disconnected has partnered with Squadtrip to offer automated payment options for travelers who wish to break up their payments.

Additional Information about Squadtrip processing fees:

In order for us to offer these types of payment plan services we must account for taxes and fees on both the front and back end.

To clarify, there is a processing fee that Disconnected Travel charges that’s a flat rate of $100. This covers the cost of the payout system we use to obtain the funds and any associated taxes we are subject to pay.

SquadTrip charges 4% in order for you to use the payment plan platform which allows for seamless payments and flexibility to skip months when necessary.

These fees are broken down across payments.

If want to avoid the tax and processing fees charged by Disconnected and Squad trip then we recommend that you allow us to book directly with the resort/hotel and airline. This means your card will be charged for the full amount based on the hotel’s terms and conditions. The flights and activities will be purchased when you authorize us to move forward.

We do our best to clearly communicate that estimates are just that. We reiterate in our initial emails that all prices that are initially shared are estimates that don’t include tax and associated fees and are subject to change at any time.

We do our best to accommodate and lock in the rates for you once you’ve committed to a total payment amount.
